- Note: ClareKines_A_04 Sandhill Cranes (Grus canadensis) (Tatigaajuak - Inuktitut) with Admiralty Inlet in the back ground. This photo was taken at the outflow of Marcil Lake, near Arctic Bay, Nunavut, Canada. The pair of cranes were foraging upon arrival to the High Arctic for breeding. No bait was used. Sandhill Cranes are not endangered, however only a very small portion of the population breeds at this latitude.
